Believable acting/dialogue throughout, and Lovecraftian/body horror that starts to really pique/peak about 52 minutes in.
Things get fcked up pretty quickly before that, though, so there’s no need to “hang in there” for too long.
Well done (disgusting) FX help support the theme as it maintains a good, solid level of creepiness.
Could have been better, but it’s a pretty good watch if you enjoy these sort of movies.
